AFTERCARE

You should clean your piercing 2 times a day, over-cleaning will cause disruption to wound healing and under cleaning may cause infection.

Make sure to wash your hands before touching your piercing to either clean or tighten your jewellery.

Using sterile saline, spray your piercing and leave for 30 seconds to soften up any build up around your jewellery.

Once softened you can then wipe away the build up around the piercing and jewellery. As the kitchen roll is flat, it can be folded to get a point for any stubborn debris that needs removing.

Once all debris has been removed, the area should be thoroughly dried using a second dry kitchen roll.

Avoid knocking, catching or moving the new piercing as much as possible.

There is no need to twist your jewellery during the healing period.

Only sterile saline such as NeilMed, PierceMed and SteriPierce should be used to clean, no lotions and potions such as tea tree oil is recommended, as this can cause chemical burns to your skin.

Avoid sleeping on your new piercing.
We recommend getting a travel neck pillow for any ear piercings to avoid putting pressure on the area and risking your piercing to heal at a crooked angle.

Avoid submerging your piercing in water for at least 4 weeks. This means it's important to refrain from swimming, bathing in bathtubs, using hot tubs, saunas and similar activities.
