TERMS & CONDITIONS

Below is ALL terms & conditions, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to read through before booking in for your appointment as they include crucial details that will impact your appointment if not followed.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in the cancellation of your appointment and forfeiting your booking fee.
If you need to reschedule, please send us a message on Instagram, Facebook or send us an Email.
Failure to contact me before your appointment will result in your appointment being marked as a no-show and forfeiting your booking fee.

To book an appointment or purchase jewellery from our online store using your gift certificate, please contact us. We'll take care of everything for you and deduct the amount from your gift certificate.

We appreciate your understanding that this process is managed manually by our team and is not available for direct use on our website/booking system.

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to Seek Piercing gift certificates. Please read them carefully. By purchasing, redeeming, or using a Seek Piercing Gift Certificate, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Purchase and Availability

✶ Gift Certificates can be purchased online via www.seekpiercing.com/store or in-person at our studio located at 112a High Road, Beeston, NG9 2LN.

✶ Gift Certificates are available in set denominations of £25, £50, £75 £100 or for a specific value chosen by the purchaser.

✶ Gift Certificates are valid for services and products sold by Seek Piercing, unless otherwise stated. They are not valid for the purchase of additional Gift Certificate.

3. Validity and Expiry

✶ Seek Piercing Gift Certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

✶ The expiry date will be clearly written on the Gift Certificate.

✶ It is the responsibility of the holder to use the Gift Certificate before the expiry date. No extensions will be granted, and no refunds will be given for expired cards.

4. Redemption

✶ Gift Certificates can be redeemed against any service or retail products available at Seek Piercing.

✶ To redeem, present the physical card at the time of booking (online or in-person) or at the point of sale in the studio.

✶ Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash. No change will be given for a purchase that costs less than the cards value. The remaining balance will be stored on the card for future use, provided the card is still within its validity period.

5. Lost or Stolen Cards

✶ Seek Piercing is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed Gift Certificates, or if a Gift Certificate is used without your permission.

✶ Treat your Gift Certificate like cash. We are unable to replace lost or stolen cards.

6. Refunds, Returns, and Cancellations

✶ The purchase of a Gift Certificate is final and non-refundable, except where required by law.

✶ If a service or product purchased with a Gift Certificate is cancelled or returned, any refund will be added back to the original Gift Certificate balance, subject to our standard cancellation policy for services/products.

✶ Gift Certificates cannot be returned or exchanged for cash, credit, or other forms of payment.

7. Balance Enquiries

✶ You can check your remaining balance by contacting us at www.seekpiercing.com/contact or asking a member of staff in the studio. Please have your gift certificate with you.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

✶ Seek Piercing reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The terms and conditions applicable to a Gift Certificate are those in force at the time of its purchase.

9. Limitation of Liability

✶ To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seek Piercing shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use or inability to use a Gift Certificate.

10. Governing Law

✶ These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

Please do not consume any substances for at least 24 hours before your appointment (48 hours is even better!)

If you arrive to your appointment under the influence of either drugs or alcohol (even one unit of alcohol is enough for us to refuse service), your appointment will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your booking fee.

To re-book another date, a new booking will need to be made.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING

Piercing individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding is not possible, considering the crucial responsibilities of your body during these phases. It's recommended to wait for a minimum of 6 weeks after finishing breastfeeding before attempting to get a piercing. If you arrive to your appointment and are knowingly pregnant, your appointment will be cancelled,

and you will forfeit your booking fee.

PIERCINGS AND RINGS

We do not pierce anything with rings (excluding Daith and Septums). If you come to your appointment and expect a ring and do not want the jewellery that is normally pierced with, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your booking fee.

To re-book another date, a new booking will need to be made.

PLEASE DON'T APPLY NUMBING CREAMS

We can't and won't pierce any tissue that has been numbed.

We promise you we will make your piercing as comfortable and quick as possible.

If you have applied numbing cream before your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your booking fee. To re-book another date, a new booking will need to be made.

FILLER AND PIERCINGS

We can't and won't pierce through any areas of your body where filler has been injected at.

Filler is a foreign object in your body and could leak out of your piercing if pierced through it. It also can help infection spread easier throughout the area you had pierced.

If you have filler in the area you are wanting pierced, it is best to let it dissolve fully before getting pierced - then letting your piercing fully heal before getting filler in that area again.

If you arrive at your appointment with fillers in the area you wish to have pierced, we will offer alternative piercing options that do not interfere with the filler. If you choose not to proceed with an alternative piercing, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your booking fee.

ACCESSABILITY

If you happen to have a service dog, we kindly request you booking the last session of the day. This will allow us to conduct a thorough deep cleaning afterward, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all our clients. Kindly be aware that all service/assistance animals must be registered, and the necessary paperwork must be provided at your appointment.

Your understanding and cooperation in this matter are highly valued, as we prioritize the safety and comfort of everyone who visits us.

ANATOMY DEPENDANT PIERCINGS

Some piercings are extremely anatomy dependant and cannot be performed, if you do not have the correct anatomy. If you are unsure if a certain piercing is viable for you, please book in for a consultation first so we can check. If you book in for a piercing and do not have the correct anatomy, we can go through alternative piercings that you could get.

If there is no other piercing you would like, you will be charged £5 to cover our time, disposables, cleaning supplies and PPE.

WANTING TO GET SOMETHING RE-PIERCED?

We strongly advise reaching out to us directly if you're considering re-piercing any area before making a booking. Alternatively, you can schedule a consultation to explore the feasibility of re-piercing or determine if it's advisable to wait a bit longer.

Re-piercing before you are ready can cause issues. If we try to re-pierce the area before the scar tissue has fully healed, it could slow down the healing process for your new piercing because there might not be enough blood flow reaching the area. Plus, piercing through tough scar tissue isn't exactly a pleasant experience! And if the old piercing hole is still open, there could be complications when the new and old piercing channels come into contact, potentially causing issues with fluid drainage.

As a general rule, we recommend waiting:

At least 8 weeks to re-pierce soft tissue (lobes, lips, navel etc.)

At least 12 weeks to re-pierce soft cartilage (nose, septum etc.)

At least 6 months to re-pierce hard cartilage (helix, conch, daith, etc.)

GOING ON HOLIDAY SOON?

If you have plans for an upcoming holiday within the next 3 months, we kindly advise you to carefully consider the timing of getting a piercing. Travel-related activities, such as swimming in pools, oceans, and exposure to varying environmental conditions, could impact the healing process of a new piercing. To ensure your piercings optimal healing and to prevent any discomfort during your holiday, we recommend postponing the piercing procedure until after your return. Your comfort and well-being are our priorities, and we want you to fully enjoy your holiday without any unnecessary worries.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN JEWELLERY

For insurance purposes, it's vital for us to know the origin of our jewellery.

We only use brand new jewellery from trusted suppliers, enabling us to verify the materials used.

Jewellery brought in by customers often contains mystery metals, which we cannot source, and most "costume jewellery" bought from retail stores typically contains low-quality materials.

Installing such jewellery could lead to irritation or infection, for which we could be held responsible. Additionally, "costume jewellery" is not recommended for long-term wear, whereas our jewellery is designed for durability and safe, prolonged use.

Anything bought online or from another studio, sorry, we can't install the jewellery for you - even in healed piercings.

If you book in for a jewellery change or downsize and bring your own jewellery and turn down using trusted jewellery from our studio, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your booking fee.

YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR BOOKING FEE IF:

✶ You have not brought sufficient ID.

✶ You are under the minimum age for the piercing booked. (Age limits available here.)

✶ A parent or legal guardian is not present to consent or has not bought all required photographic ID or paperwork at the appointment for someone under-16.

✶ You no-show your appointment.

✶ You are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment.

✶ You arrive to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

✶ You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

✶ You have arrived to your appointment with numbing cream on the area you wish to be pierced at.

✶ You want to be pierced with jewellery I do not offer for said piercing (i.e ring in a fresh helix or nostril) and refuse to be pierced with suitable jewellery.

✶ You bring in your own jewellery from outside the studio for a jewellery change or to be pierced with and refuse to use jewellery stocked by our studio.

BELOW IS OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS WHICH ARE SHOWN BEFORE OUR BOOKING PAGE:

ID PLEASE BRING PHOTOGRAPHIC ID

Physical photographic ID must be provided when asked. It must be valid and in date.

If you are unable to provide ID when asked this will result in the cancellation of your appointment, and you will forfeit your booking fee, so please always come with some physical form of valid photographic ID.

Your personal data will be stored for studio use only and will never be shared with any third parties.

We comply with the GDPR Regulations.

We will be strict on ID.

We accept: Passport, Driving/Provisional License, Citizenship ID, PASScard, Royal Mail digital ID.

PLEASE RE-SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU FEEL UNWELL

Our studio staff are self-employed, and we truly appreciate your help in keeping our studio healthy!

If you need to reschedule due to illness, please let us know as soon as possible before your appointment and we will be happy to move over your appointment to a later date. Failure to let us know before your appointment and no-showing your appointment will be cancelled and you will be marked as a no-show and and you will forfeit your booking fee.

To rebook another date, a new booking will need to be made.

PLEASE EAT BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please make sure you have had something substantial to eat at least 4 hours before your appointment! It's best to keep your blood sugar at a good level to reduce the chances of you feeling a little woozy or faint whilst being pierced.

PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME

If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be marked as a no-show and and you will forfeit your booking fee.

To re-book another date, a new booking will need to be made.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please refrain from bringing children to your appointment, as we cannot provide supervision.

For safety reasons, children are not allowed in the piercing room unless they are the ones getting pierced.

If a child is brought without supervision, your appointment will be cancelled and you will forfeit your booking fee.

To re-book another date, a new booking will need to be made.

PIERCING CHILDREN UNDER 16

Only a parent with matching surname or legal guardian may consent for the child, both providing valid ID. Strict checks apply; any deviation results in a cancelled appointment, and you will forfeit your booking fee. Rescheduling requires a new booking.

A birth certificate is acceptable for children without photographic ID. Legal guardians must also bring documentation proving guardianship of your child.

We will be strict on ID.

We are unable to accept parental consent for anyone 16 and over, as they must self consent and physical photographic ID must be provided when asked.

SILENT APPOINTMENTS

Silent appointments are sessions where there is no music and no small talk.

There will be instances where we must engage in conversation with you, such as to verbally secure your consent. However, apart from these necessary interactions, if you would like a silent appointment, please feel welcome to indicate your preference in the notes section of your booking. Rest assured, this choice will not in any way upset us and we will respect your choice.

As a someone with ASD and ADHD, I totally understand!

Please note that the prices listed covers the piercing fee and includes the standard Titanium jewellery.

Jewellery upgrades start from £15 and will need to be paid for after the procedure.

To secure your piercing appointment we require your booking fee to be paid in full.

Payment will only be taken during your appointment if you decide to get any jewellery upgrades or piercing aftercare.

All items are ineligible for refunds or exchanges.

Seek Piercing holds no liability for items that sustain damage during home installations. No refunds or exchanges will be provided for items that become irreparably damaged while being installed outside of the studio.

Seek Piercing holds no liability for items lost outside of the studio. No refunds or exchanges will be provided for items that have been lost outside of the studio.
